A special "sphere"

I need help! I haven't been the best blogger and I have completely lost the instructions on how to participate in the monthly theme day. It seems like things have changed a bit since I last participated.

P.S. This is my daughter.

Gas prices even lower

I know I'm obsessing over this, but I saw $1.79 today and it makes me so happy! I would like to see $1.67 by Christmas. Do you think I will?

Wauconda Fire Department Open House

This was a few weekends ago -- the local firemen demonstrated sawing open a car, among other things. Great for the kids, they got to practice putting out "fires" with a hose, practicing making 911 calls, etc. Plus free pizza and hotdogs! And sitting in the firetrucks and ambulances!

Fixing Power Lines

These men have been working on the set of power lines close to my house -- then I saw the helicopter yesterday a few miles away. They must be re-doing the entire line. The helicopter is bring the workers some new kind of insultation and dropping it down to them. Pretty interesting, not something you see every day! I wonder how electrified these men feel afterwards? The lines themselves buzz, pretty loudly.

Tree and Fence in Fall - Nunda Township

Here's a tree I see every day. . . I think the dying crop behind it is soybeans, but I'm not sure . . .
This is the same tree in the winter (1/4/08)
