Neighborhood sign

This is a neighborhood very close to mine, right on the Fox River. Everyone calls it Burton's Bridge. Wonder if the sign is right, or the general population.

County Road Ends at Water

No Kidding! This is in Glen Arbor, MI -- don't keep driving or you will end up in Wisconsin! (If your car turns into a boat, that is . . . a duck (?))

Bike Lane

This goes with my road sign series. Wish I knew how to make folders so they could all be together (hint, hint).

This is another sign -- I did a series of them if you check my older posts. . . . there are a couple of them from 2-20-08.

Horse Crossing in the Snow

Here are some Nunda Township horse trails, in the snow. No horses around today though. Maybe too much snow? We have really been hit hard this winter, though I love snow so it doesn't bother me. It is good to be snowed in with a new baby.

Tractor Crossing!

Thanks for the comments! I am really enjoying this blog and meeting people from all over the world in the process. I have travelled a bit and would like to more. To answer the question on the previous post, the boat just kept going, it was really busy on the water that day. If you haven't heard, we are having a heat wave in Chicago right now. (87 degrees F today!) Our annual Chicago Marathon was called short due to the heat -- someone died even, although he apparently had a heart condition.

Today's post is closer to home, country farm life in the NW suburbs of Chicago. I liked the farmer's hat -- almost looks Asian to me. Tractor crossings don't occur that often, but do during harvest and seeding time. Happy Fall!
