This was a few weekends ago -- the local firemen demonstrated sawing open a car, among other things. Great for the kids, they got to practice putting out "fires" with a hose, practicing making 911 calls, etc. Plus free pizza and hotdogs! And sitting in the firetrucks and ambulances!

Kids always learn better when they can be hands on. I still remember the fire department coming to my school when I was a kid.
That first shot was quite something!
Isn't it cool? I think such events are needed in every city!
