Single Sunflower

I planted a whole package of sunflower seeds by my garage -- this is the only one that came up this year. But it's a good one, so it's OK.

Here is a picture from my recent trip to Michigan. I used to spend a lot of time here as a child. . . so there are many fond memories of this lighthouse. I even got a chance to climb up!

A bit of the rural landscape around here. You should see the corn we have! Really tall, just like Illinois should have. And soybeans. Most of the farms grow one or the other. This one has a dairy farm, so they need hay for the cows. . .
